Safe and Effective Removal Process

As certified arborists with a love of trees, we at T4 Tree Services always hope to be able to save trees rather than remove them. However, there are times when removing a tree is the best option for the landscape, homeowner, and the environment. For those occasions, our experts can safely remove limbs or entire trees from any location.

Why Would You Need to Remove a Tree?

Knowing when you need to remove a tree instead of treating it or pruning it can be challenging. Some factors that you may consider include the location of the tree, how emotionally attached you are to it, and the cost of having it removed. A tree that is dying naturally and is located in an area where it doesn’t pose a hazard to property or people, can be left to die without intervention.

Structurally Unsound

Dead trees can still contribute to the environment by providing nesting and feeding places for wildlife. However, structurally unsound trees that pose a threat to property or people should be removed immediately.

T4 Tree Services will carefully evaluate your tree to determine its health and structural integrity. It’s vital to know what’s causing damage to your tree. The wood of some trees may become particularly brittle if they’ve been damaged by certain insects, such as borers and bark beetles. Even experienced arborists may have difficulty removing these trees safely. T4 Tree Services has the experience, equipment, and knowledge to handle any tree removal job, no matter how tricky.

Undesirable Species

Some things that make a species undesirable include weak wood prone to breaking, susceptibility to pests, invasive species, or shallow roots that damage the landscape. If you have an undesirable species that’s harming your landscape or showing signs of decay, removing it may be an easy choice. Some of the more common unwanted species include:

  • Poplar/Cottonwoods
  • Russian Olive
  • Siberian Elm
  • Tree of Heaven

The Health of Your Tree

While a tree can live with a partially hollow trunk, it can compromise the integrity of your tree and make it dangerous. If your tree has severe internal damage, it may show signs such as vertical cracks, seams, large older wounds, and dead branch stubs. We can treat many tree ailments, but if over 50% of your tree is damaged, it may need to be removed. Our certified arborists can examine your tree to determine if it’s healthy enough to treat or needs to be removed.

The Removal Process

Removing trees can be extremely hazardous. Trees often must be removed from confined spaces near houses, power lines, and other difficult-to-reach areas. The removal process requires specialized knowledge, skills, and equipment. At T4 Tree Services, our certified arborists are highly trained in all aspects of removing trees safely while minimizing the impact on surrounding areas.

When we remove a tree, we take pride in cleaning the area thoroughly. The stump will be left as close to the ground as possible. We can transition directly from removing the tree to grinding the stump if desired. Stump grinding also requires specialized machinery and skills, but T4 can handle stumps of any type or size.

Regardless of the job size, you can count on us to remove your tree and clear away the debris. Our arborists are trained in the latest safety techniques and protocols. At T4, we are the only Accredited tree service on the Western Slope, which means our safety standards are second to none. We’re committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
